Quasi-Boundary Method for Design Consideration of Resonant DC-DC Converters

The paper presents a new unified method for designing the two basic types of serial resonant DC-DC converters (series and with parallel-loaded capacitor). is based on use simplified generalized approach analysis this type power electronic devices. It characterized by fact that regardless specific operating mode, control frequency below or above series circuit to determine relationship between input output voltage current, it assumed converter operates in resonance. In sense, called quasi-boundary design. significantly accelerates facilitates design considered circuits, which very useful purposes engineering practice, as well training electronics. applicability proven methods mathematical modeling computer simulations.
